Where Should You Relocate When You Retire?
You probably won’t be surprised to discover that many of the destinations on this list from U.S. News & World Report are located in the southern regions of our country. In fact, out of these top 25 cities, 21 are in the South!
Even more impressive, Florida alone claims 13 cities in the top 25—and 4 out of the top 5 overall.
Other interesting takeaways include:
- The majority of the top retirement cities have a median monthly rent around $1,000 or less.
- The majority of them have at least 20% of their populations aged 60 or older.
- Many of these cities are located in close proximity to the ocean.
If you’re a longtime Vermont resident, those warm beaches are probably sounding pretty good right about now!
So, if you want to relocate down to Florida or across the country after you retire, we certainly don’t blame you. Indeed, we’ll be happy to help you move!
